Independent schools are schools that have the freedom to set their own curriculum this is because they are self financed and govern themselves.
Schooling has come to the forefront of peoples minds and has become a major concern which means independent schools in the UK have seen an increase in pupils.
Independent schools are more commonly known as private schools but can also be called fee-paying and public schools.
To get a list of independent schools in Britain why not try typing “Independent Schools UK” into a search engine.

Information to trust
With ofsted inspecting and regulating all of our schools, parents can look at the statistics and view which schools are achieving the best results.

The debates for and against this regulation are plentiful with one side saying “it is tieing the schools up with beurocratic red tape” the other stating “the levels of schools is increasing because of it, and allowing the parents to make an informed decision”.

It doesn’t matter what your angle is, parents are finding themselves in the situation that they can find out which schools are offering the best education in their area. Whether your child has special needs, requiring for example help with dyslexia or attention deficit disorder the reports allow you to view which schools locally might provide best for your family.

Having read the ofsted reports you could discover that the schools in your catchment area arent right for you. As an alternative you might consider sending your child to a boarding school where your child could have smaller class sizes and a higher standard of education, many boarding schools offering scholarships or bursaries.

I have found several great sites that give top information on finding schools relevant to you.
